Terms of Service

By accessing or using Otto ("the Service," "we," "us," or "our"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree to these Terms, please do not use the Service. These Terms constitute a legally binding agreement between you and Otto.

Otto is an AI-powered puppy training platform that provides personalized training plans, an AI coaching assistant, skill progress tracking, and related educational content for dog owners. Otto is not a substitute for professional veterinary advice, professional dog training, or behavioral consultation. The Service is designed to supplement — not replace — professional guidance. Always consult a licensed veterinarian for medical concerns and a certified professional dog trainer or behaviorist for serious behavioral issues.

You must be at least 18 years of age to use Otto. By using the Service, you represent and warrant that you are 18 years of age or older and have the legal capacity to enter into these Terms. If you are under 18, you may not use the Service.

You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials. You agree to: (a) provide accurate and complete information during registration; (b) keep your account information up to date; (c) not share your account credentials with others; (d) notify us immediately of any unauthorized use of your account at support@trainwithotto.com. You are solely responsible for all activity that occurs under your account.

Otto offers the following subscription plans:

• Free Trial: 7 days free. No credit card required at sign-up. At the end of the trial, access may be limited until a paid plan is selected.
• Core Plan: Available monthly or annually. Includes standard training plans, limited AI coach messages, and core features.
• Pro Plan: Available monthly or annually. Includes unlimited AI coach messages, video analysis, advanced features, and priority support.

All billing is processed securely via Stripe. By providing your payment information, you authorize Otto to charge your payment method for the selected subscription plan on a recurring basis. Annual plans are charged in full at the start of each billing period. You may cancel your subscription at any time through Account Settings → Subscription → Manage Subscription. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period — you retain access through the paid period.

Otto does not offer refunds for partial billing periods. If you cancel mid-period, you retain access through the end of the paid period but will not receive a refund for the unused portion. Annual plan refunds are not provided for early cancellation. If you believe you have been charged in error, contact support@trainwithotto.com within 30 days of the charge. Proration for mid-cycle plan changes follows standard Stripe practices.

You agree not to: (a) use the Service for any unlawful purpose; (b) attempt to reverse engineer, scrape, or extract data from the Service; (c) use the AI coach to generate content unrelated to puppy training or to circumvent safety guidelines; (d) upload content that is illegal, harmful, abusive, or violates third-party rights; (e) impersonate any person or entity; (f) attempt to gain unauthorized access to any part of the Service or its related systems. We reserve the right to terminate accounts that violate these policies.

Otto and its underlying technology, content, design, trademarks, and service marks are owned by or licensed to us and are protected by applicable intellectual property laws. You may not copy, reproduce, distribute, or create derivative works based on the Service without our express written permission. All AI-generated training content produced by Otto remains the property of Otto, though you may use it for personal, non-commercial puppy training purposes.

You retain ownership of content you upload to the Service, including puppy photos, journal entries, and other materials ("User Content"). By uploading User Content, you grant Otto a limited, non-exclusive, royalty-free license to store, process, and display that content solely to deliver the Service to you. We do not sell your User Content or use it for advertising. Photos uploaded are used only to personalize your in-app experience. This license terminates when you delete your account and associated data.

The coaching responses, training plans, and recommendations provided by Otto are generated by artificial intelligence models. These responses are not professional veterinary advice, certified dog training advice, or behavioral therapy. AI-generated content may be inaccurate, incomplete, or inapplicable to your specific situation. Always use your own judgment and consult qualified professionals for medical or serious behavioral concerns. Otto makes no warranty as to the accuracy, completeness, or fitness for purpose of any AI-generated content.

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Otto and its officers, directors, employees, and agents shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages — including loss of data, loss of profits, or personal injury — arising out of or related to your use of the Service, even if advised of the possibility of such damages. Our total aggregate liability to you shall not exceed the greater of (a) the amount you paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim or (b) $100 USD.

The Service is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranty of any kind. We expressly disclaim all warranties, whether express, implied, or statutory, including implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or free of harmful components.

You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless Otto and its affiliates, officers, directors, employees, and agents from and against any claims, liabilities, damages, judgments, awards, losses, costs, or expenses (including reasonable attorneys' fees) arising out of or relating to your violation of these Terms or your use of the Service.

These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of Delaware, United States, without regard to its conflict of law provisions. Any disputes arising under these Terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts located in Delaware.

We may update these Terms from time to time. When we do, we will update the "Last updated" date at the top of this page and, for material changes, notify you by email. Your continued use of the Service after changes are posted constitutes your acceptance of the revised Terms.
